How to Pick the Best Grass for a Lawn in Pune

Pune sits on the Deccan plateau with hot, dry summers, a heavy south-west monsoon and mild winters. A grass that thrives here has to shrug off 40 degree April heat, then survive weeks of waterlogging in July and August.

The other deciding factor is how you actually use the lawn. A play area for children needs a tougher, self-repairing grass than a purely ornamental front garden that is only ever walked on by the gardener.
